Athlone Gymnastics Club

All parents/guardians/adult members are invited to attend the Club AGM on Monday, 21st October 2019 in the Athlone Springs Hotel, Monksland at 7.30pm.

The Club is run by a Committee of dedicated Volunteers, made up of parents of gymnasts,who give their time in a voluntary capacity to ensure that all the gymansts have a safe, progressive and fun environment to learn gymnastics from our experienced and committed coaches. Without volunteers we wouldn’t have this wonderful facility for our children.

Thank you for your support throughout the year and we look forward to seeing you on the night.

Thank you to the parents who turned out to the Information Night last night, the dreadful weather didn’t deter you😊. There were some excellent suggestions which we welcome and will look at how we can integrate them over the coming months. We hope that we provided clarity on the queries, if not, please email administrator@athlonegymnasticsclub.ie and we will be happy to help.

We are holding a Parent Information Evening in the Gym on Monday, 30th September at 7.30pm. This is an opportunity for parents/guardians of current members to come along and meet our Director along with some of the Coaches and Committee and learn more about the Club, how classes are run, etc. We look forward to seeing you there

We need your help on 4th and 5th October for our Flag Day at Supervalu in Monksland. If you can help for 2 hour slots from 10am to 6pm, please text your name and preferred time to 083 8333171. All help will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome back to our members who joined us for classes over the weekend, a special warm welcome to those children (boys and girls) joining us for the first time, we look forward to seeing you again next week. For the children who come to our weekday classes, we hope to see you all during the week.

A special welcome to Judy, Jenny, Stephanie and Tara who have now joined our coaching team, if you see some fresh young faces in the coaching department, this is them! All four girls have been gymnasts with us since they were 6 years old and have completed their Gymnastics Ireland coaching qualification and mentoring program under the direction of Elisha. All of them are still training and competing with the Club at National Competitions so their knowledge is right up to speed. We are delighted to have them on board and look forward to having them as part of the team for a long time to come.

Our first Term of the new Gymnastics calendar begins on Saturday, 31st August. Full details of the term dates will follow shortly.

We look forward to welcoming our new members and seeing our existing members for another year.

All our classes are fully booked for the new term. We have advertised all available spaces on our website previously and we are not accepting any further members at this time. As replying to individual queries with regards to spaces is time consuming and our Administrator works part time, it is no longer possible to reply to those queries.

We have just 3 spaces remaining for our new term, starting on Thursday 5th September from 8.30-10.00pm.

This is a great way to get fit or improve your fitness levels, whether you’re a beginner or have some experience in gymnastics. The group is small so you won’t get lost in the crowd!
