Well done to our 9 gymnasts who represented their counties recently in the Community Games Gymnastics National Final in Carlow – Catherine, Cara, Ella, Nia, Alannah, Isla, Kate, Mya and Katie. The girls all performed brilliantly, they were a credit to themselves and their families and were a great support to their fellow club gymnasts, we are so proud of them.
Special Congratulations to the 2 medal winners on the day – Kate (Silver) and Katie (Bronze), well done girls.
Community Games Gymnastics is back for the first time since 2019 and we are very proud to have a super representation from our club who qualified for the National Finals which are being held at the weekend in Carlow. Due to our central location, we are priviledged to have gymnasts from 3 counties taking part. Thanks to our coach Saoirse who has been working with these girls and preparing them for the finals.

Tomorrow marks the start of new beginnings for many students receiving their Leaving Cert results. We wish everyone the very best of luck, especially Áine, Gráinne, Marsha and Nikka – 4 amazing young ladies with the world at their feet and bright futures ahead of them, whatever road they choose.
Best of luck also to all our members who are returning to school over the coming week, especially those starting off in Secondary School tomorrow, a new chapter awaits, enjoy every minute of it, it goes too fast!
As we are inundated with enquiries about new members joining our Club, it is not possible to reply to all those messages individually, there simply would not be enough hours to do so.
The procedure is as outlined already on our website and here is a summary, as follows :-
Subscribe to our mailing list on our website www.athlonegymnasticsclub.ie by hitting the subscribe button on this page (please note – this is not a waiting list)
Whenever spaces are available, the links to those classes are advertised on our website and are open to anyone who falls within the years outlined for a particular class. If you have subscribed, you will receive a notification of this new post to the email address that you used when you subscribed. We do not make individual contact with our subscribers. We have no control over the time the email is delivered to your inbox
Spaces are strictly on a first come basis so we have no control over who gets a space or not
Children must be age 6+ to join (depending on space available)
We do not operate a waiting list, nor do we hold spaces for a later date
We realise that gymnastics is a very popular sport and we would love to be able to offer everyone a space who wishes to join us, however, we have to be guided by the number of coaches we have available at any time. All our coaches are fully qualified under Gymnastics Ireland, our National Governing Body, are Garda Vetted and have completed their Child Safeguarding in accordance with the Children First Act.
Please note : we do not currently run gymnastics classes for Adults.
Our gym and office are closed for annual leave from Friday, 11th August until Monday, 21st August 2023. During this time, our phone will be switched off and emails will not be monitored. Any queries you may have should be sent in before Thursday.
We have a very small number of additional spaces available in our Summer Camp from 8th-11th August from 9.30am-1.00pm. Spaces are strictly on a first come basis.
This is suited to children born before 1st January 2017, open to boys and girls, members and non-members, with or without gymnastics experience.
